Counseling, or “Psychotherapy”

I believe that we are all wired to connect, change and heal. As a therapist, I work with adults (18+) who want to spark and kindle these innate abilities. Consider reaching out to me if you want help with anxiety, shame, low self-esteem, and/or depression. I aim to heal the root of pain, such as adversity, trauma, grief/loss, and toxic messages from society. I also enjoy working with clients who want help expanding on growth and change and effectively integrating them into existing life and relationships.

I having training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and I am certified in Brainspotting therapy. These methods aim to create change and transformation in session by tuning into the present moment, processing emotions, and rediscovering the authentic Self.

I bring presence, attunement and compassion as a therapist. I am queer and love working with fellow members or allies of the LGBTQIA+ community. If you sense we are a good fit, I invite you to reach out.

  • Currently accepting Carefirst/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Johns Hopkins, and self pay.
  • Out of pocket/self-pay rates are: $150 per hour-long therapy session.

See my Psychology Today Profile for more information about my approach.

The Guest House

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.
Be grateful for whatever comes.
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
